About S.F.E.A.T

At an early age, Stable Foundations Equine Assisted Therapy owner, Patricia Crockford, developed a strong passion for horses.  It was this passion that led her to study Equine Studies at Kemptville College.  But it wasn't until later in life when her own child began to struggle with anxiety that Patricia was able to see, first hand, the great benefits that can come from combining her love of horses with her dedication to helping others.  Now certified in both Equine Assisted Leaning (EAL) and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) through the OK Corral Series.  Patricia is ready to bring this same level of dedication and passion to helping your loved one achieve his or her goals!

What is Equine Assisted Therapy?

Equine Assisted Therapy provides positive experiences for students with varying abilities.

In a fun atmosphere, with the aid of therapy horses and ponies, students will learn: basic riding skills -which helps to improve balance, gross and fine motor skills-, communication and social skills, stable management and horse care.  Most importantly, learning these new skills will help them become more confident and empowered when facing new or existing challenges in their lives.

*please note that our youngest riders (3-6) learn through playing lots and lots of games*
